The Casual Connoisseur was set up due to a lack of accurate and helpful advice for 25 - 35 year olds that enjoy dining out at quality restaurants, travelling and staying at great hotels.
In feeling the 'star rating system' to be dated, acting as a mere tick box for hotels that have a myriad of services that, as long as they are available, and no matter the quality, the hotel gains the stars, we decided it was time for change.
The aim is to produce meaningful and accurate reviews of various restaurants and hotels from around the world for people wanting good food and a nice place to stay. We hope to inform you and hopefully guide you to the better restaurants and hotels through our expeditions.
Keeping hotels and restaurants competitive and ensuring they are meeting the needs of experienced travellers is what we would like to see.
